Migrating from QLC PostMaster Enterprise to Google Workspace can feel overwhelming, but with the right approach, it’s a smooth, secure, and loss-free process. Whether you’re moving for better collaboration tools, higher storage limits, or advanced email security, Google Workspace offers everything you need for modern business communication.
Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) provides a robust set of productivity and collaboration tools — Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Meet, and more. By moving your email hosting from QLC PostMaster Enterprise, you gain:
99.9% uptime reliability.
Industry-leading spam and malware protection.
Seamless integration with productivity apps.
Advanced search and smart filtering in Gmail.
Before starting the migration process, ensure you:
Have Google Workspace admin access.
Have active QLC PostMaster Enterprise email accounts.
Gather the IMAP settings for QLC:
IMAP Server: imap.qlc.co.in
Port: 993 (SSL)
Username: Full email address
Password: Email account password
Verify you can log in to your old mailbox.
Before changing DNS, keep the MX records pointing to QLC so all incoming emails still go to your existing server during migration. This ensures no email loss.
In your Google Admin console:
Go to Data Migration.
Choose Other IMAP server as the source.
Enter imap.qlc.co.in and port 993 with SSL enabled.
Add your QLC email credentials.
Start the migration.
Google DMS will copy all emails from QLC to your Google Workspace mailbox. You can track progress in the Admin console.
After the main migration finishes, run another sync to capture emails received during the migration period.
Once all data is successfully transferred, update your DNS MX records to Google’s MX entries. This directs all new incoming emails to Gmail.
Test IMAP connectivity before starting.
Migrate during low-traffic hours.
Communicate the migration schedule to your team.
Keep QLC mailbox active for a few days after cutover.
By following these steps, you can ensure a zero-downtime and complete email migration from QLC PostMaster Enterprise to Google Workspace.
