All domains use the same mail server infrastructure and configuration.
Apple does not allow direct Apple ID passwords in third-party email clients.
Instead, iCloud Mail requires:
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on the Apple ID
App-Specific Passwords for Outlook, Thunderbird, and other non-Apple clients
Without an app-specific password, authentication will fail.
❌ iCloud Mail does not support POP3
Only IMAP is available.
Sign in to appleid.apple.com
Go to Sign-In and Security
Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Under App-Specific Passwords, click Generate Password
Enter a label (e.g., Outlook Mail)
Copy the generated password
? This password is used instead of your Apple ID password.
Open Outlook
Go to File → Add Account
Enter your iCloud email address
Select Advanced Options → Let me set up my account manually
Choose IMAP
Enter the IMAP and SMTP settings listed above
When prompted for password, enter the App-Specific Password

Complete setup and test send/receive
