Steps to Implement DSC in Tally Prime and Sign Invoices

  1. Ensure Prerequisites:

    • A valid Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) from a certified authority like eMudhra, Capricorn, or others.
    • Tally Prime version that supports DSC (Tally Prime Release 2.1 or later).
    • A configured printer like Microsoft Print to PDF to digitally sign PDFs.
  2. Install the Digital Signature Token:

    • Plug in the DSC token (dongle) into your computer.
    • Install the required drivers if needed to make sure your system recognizes the DSC.
  3. Configure Digital Signature in Tally Prime:

    • Open Tally Prime.
    • Go to the Gateway of Tally > F12 (Configuration) > Advanced Configuration.
    • In the Digital Signature section, configure the DSC details:
      • Signatory Name: The name linked to your DSC.
      • Certification Authority: Select your provider, e.g., eMudhra, Capricorn, etc.
      • Ask Before Signing: Set this option to Yes if you want a prompt before every signature.
  4. Create or Open an Invoice:

    • Create a sales invoice or open an existing one that you want to sign.
    • Once the invoice is ready, press Alt+P (Print).
  5. Sign the Invoice with DSC:

    • Choose to print the document as PDF or another supported format.
    • If configured properly, Tally will prompt you to sign the document.
    • Select your DSC from the list of available certificates.
    • Tally Prime will sign the invoice with the DSC and generate the signed document.
  6. Verify Signed Invoice:

    • Open the signed invoice to verify the digital signature.
    • The signature should appear with a green tick or a signature icon in the PDF document, indicating that the document has been signed digitally.

This process might vary slightly based on the Tally Prime version, but these are the essential steps to integrate and sign invoices with DSC.
