Many Tally users face Error Code 6712 – Internal Error while trying to enable or apply Default TDL Configuration in the Tally Control Center. This error generally appears under Account Management → License Management → Deployment Information, even when the license, TSS, and subscription status are active.

This error appears when:
Clicking Edit under Deployment Information
Selecting Default TDL Config

The Default TDL Configuration was not properly created and mapped in TDL Management inside the Tally Control Center. Tally requires explicitly created TDL configurations to be assigned to each deployment/system.
Visit Tally Solutions Website
Login using your licensed email
Go to Control Center
Navigate to:
TDL Management → TDL Configuration
Click Create
Name: Tally 1
Allow Local TDL: No
Select required Add-ons
Save
Click Create
Name: Tally 2
Allow Local TDL: No
Select same Add-ons
Save
✔ Both configurations must save successfully
Go to:
Account Management → License Management
Click Edit under Deployment Information
For First System, select Tally 1
For Second System, select Tally 2
Save
✔ No error should appear now
On each system:
Open Tally
Go to F1 → Help
Click Update License
? Issue Resolved Successfully
Error Code 6712 completely removed
Default TDL Configuration applied correctly
TDL working on both systems
No further internal errors
Confirmed stable operation
Never rely only on Default TDL Config if not explicitly created
Each system should have its own TDL Configuration
